Pot Pot I'm Thirsty is an IoT project that sends you an email when your plant needs watering

Project Journey:

The initial idea for Pot Pot I'm thirty stemmed from me killing a plant a simple patch of grass mostly because I was busy with school but I wondered was there a better way too grow plants without killing them?  That's when I thought I could make an auto-waterer but that was boring and took the fun out of growing a plant that's when I though what if the plant simply reminded you instead of doing it for you that's when I came up of the idea of Pot Pot I'm thirsty a plant monitor that doesn't do the work for you but reminds you to do it teaching you responsibility 

How did I fail? 

The main part of Pot Pot I'm thirsty that hindered me was using onshape to do the CAD I previously used onshape on 1 instance whilst creating Tommy's sweeper extenders but never on a project of this scale some of the challenges mostly came from not accounting for printer shrink and also not using the correct tools to measure the distance/screwsize of parts

What I learned: 

During this project I learned alot about creating CAD projects in onshape and also using SMTP protocol to automatically send emails to an inbox and also learn alot of diffrent IoT and prototyping basics like creating diffrent versions
